Scunthorpe United have been dealt an injury blow ahead of taking on Bolton Wanderers as Kevin van Veen is due to miss the clash with a hamstring problem. The Iron themselves are unbeaten in their last three League Two matches. Neil Cox, the Scunthorpe boss, has revealed that van Veen and Jordan Clarke will not play a part in the upcoming match. Cox said: 'Kev is going to miss out as he has a tender hamstring, but it's nowhere near as bad as we thought.' Van Veen is one of the Iron's main attacking threats and has scored twice for Scunthorpe this season. He is currently the club's joint top scorer this campaign along with Ryan Loft. The match against Bolton Wanderers is scheduled to take place at Glanford Park tomorrow evening. Bolton Wanderers have won their last three matches in all competitions, including back-to-back victories in the league against Salford City and Stevenage. Cox played for Wanderers between 1997 and 1999 and is looking forward to taking on his old side. He believes that Bolton will be up challenging at the top end of the League Two table by the end of the season. The Iron will have to be careful with their players as they have a few knocks and bruises that need to be looked at ahead of the match. Cox is hopeful that Jordan Clarke can have a full week of training and get back into the team soon. The upcoming match is expected to be a good challenge for Scunthorpe as Ian Evatt has put a great squad together and they're just starting to pick up points.
